Vatican Scholar Defends Humanae Vitae In Rome

Monsignor Livio Melina spoke to the International Catholic Jurists Forum in Rome last week, focusing on the dangers that the teaching of Humanae Vitae faces in the light of recent developments at the Pontifical Academy for Life.

Msgr. Melina headed the Academy until being replaced by Pope Francis five years ago. He condemned the new direction of the academy’s scholars as a “radical paradigm shift” that rejects the natural law’s teaching of the absolute evil of contraception.
