PRI President Steven Mosher, a member of the John Paul II Academy for Human Life and the Family, reports that “the Academy has formally requested that Pope Francis dismiss Cardinal Víctor Manuel Fernández.”
The academy’s membership comprises noted scholars and scientists from all over the world.
Fernández’s has a troubled history of “authoring scandalous books of an erotic nature which border on pornography and which contain passages that clash with the traditional teaching of the Church,” writes Academy President Thomas Ward.
