The Dobbs v. Jackson Women’s Health Organization decision published last summer sent the question of abortion back to the states, as provided by the Constitution. Nonetheless, enraged abortionists and their allies, led by the Biden White House, have targeted Catholic churches, shrines, and care facilities. Their latest target: Catholic hospitals. One in seven hospital patients in the United States is treated in a Catholic facility, according to the Catholic Health Association. So for pro-abortion activists, undermining the legitimacy of Catholic health systems makes sense as an efficient and far-reaching target. Catholic hospitals, of course, reject the left’s favorite euphemism that abortion is “health care.”
