This week we celebrate the 52nd anniversary of Humanae Vitae, the wonderful gift given by Pope Saint Paul VI to the world reaffirming the holiness of family, marriage, and children. We encourage you to read the encyclical during the week (text here), and we’ll be suggesting other readings every day, touching on the beauty and truth of the Church’s teaching.

Here Archbishop Naumann focuses on Natural Family Planning (NFP), “an effective, scientific method that teaches a couple to recognize the natural signs indicating the time of fertility in the woman ’s cycle.” With NFP, married couples can give glory to God as they bring children into the world.
